Great Parks' signature events remove barriers to the natural world across Hamilton County. From celebrating conservation to helping attendees find their wild side, our signature events feature a wide variety of themes and interests helping connect our parks into our communities in a meaningful way.
Event marketing deadlines are approximately 6 weeks prior to the event date.

Great Parks Pollinator Festival | Glenwood Gardens | Join us for a buzzing celebration of our precious pollinators at the Great Parks Pollinator Festival and 5K! Explore educational exhibits, enjoy family-friendly activities, and shop unique spring crafts from local artists. Learn about the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem and discover how you can support their conservation efforts. Fairy Tale Festival | Glenwood Gardens | The Great Parks Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens is the setting for fairy tale folklore that leaps off the page into real life for the family-favorite Fairy Tale Festival. Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up as their favorite fairy tale characters to join the fun. Guests watch as their favorite fairy tales appear before their eyes with character meet-and-greets, armored sword fights, Madcap Puppets shows, and a wizard weaving his magic. | June: 2-day weekend | 2,500+ | Starting at $1,500 |
Kids / Outdoor Adventure Expo | Winton Woods | Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo is one of the largest FREE interactive outdoor recreation and nature education events for children in the country. With the support of local business partners, Great Parks reaches 5,000+ local children annually and expanded to a two-day event for 2024. | July: 2 day weekend | 8,500+ | Starting at $2,500 |
Urban Thrive Festival | Nature Center at the Summit | Guests to the Urban Thrive Festival interact with the Center’s community garden, learning how and when to plant, to help guests become urban farmers. Sponsors help provide expanded nature experiences, focusing on sustainability and health and wellness education. | August | 700+ | Starting at $1,500 |
Hispanic Heritage Festival | Sharon Woods | The Hispanic Heritage Festival offers an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate our Latinx community. Guests enjoy authentic food, salsa music and dance, kids activities, inflatable bounce houses and more, alongside organizations that support the Latinx community in Greater Cincinnati. | September | 2,000+ | Starting at $1,500 |
Root Ball | The Summit Hotel | The Root Ball is our gala – with a rustic twist.
