Walk-Up Picnic Areas

Great Parks offers open picnic areas across Hamilton County with tables and grills, typically accommodating small groups of 20 or fewer. Often located along primary park roads, these areas are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Reservable Picnic Shelters & Areas

Reservable up to a year in advance, Great Parks offers 58 open-air shelters and two non-sheltered picnic areas with tables, grills and nearby restrooms. Other amenities can include athletic fields, playgrounds and horseshoe pits for guests to enjoy.

  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
