A Total Eclipse of the Park


Embark on a celestial journey with the much-anticipated 2024 total solar eclipse! This community-wide gathering is located on the outskirts of Cincinnati at Miami Whitewater Forest – the only Great Parks destination in the path of totality. Whether you’re a seasoned astronomer or an awe-inspired novice, this event is sure to have something for everyone.

A variety of education stations, Citizen Science observations, animal encounters, games, refreshments and more will be available before, during and after totality (currently projected at 3:08 p.m.). A limited supply of certified eclipse glasses will be available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Grab your bag chairs and witness this spectacular astronomical phenomenon!

Satellite Viewing Locations

Along with the gathering at Miami Whitewater Forest, two satellite locations (listed below) will have a Great Parks Interpreter stationed to guide you through this viewing experience. A limited supply of certified eclipse glasses will be available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis.
