Highwood Lodge

Highwood Lodge at Withrow Nature Preserve features an outside wedding venue that accommodates 75 guests. It is surrounded by a landscaped garden against an old growth forest, cloth-covered benches, and a manicured lawn. For a more intimate ceremony there is a hillside gazebo. The historic Highwood Lodge includes climate-controlled changing rooms with private restrooms.

The Highwood Lodge is also available daily for small meetings and special events, such as bridal and baby showers, for up to 40 people. The lodge features two large open rooms, kitchen and attached patio.

    Rates

    Highwood Lodge Only:
    Monday - Thursday: $220 (8 hours)
    Friday – Sunday: $385 (8 hours)

    Highwood Lodge with garden ceremony: 
    Monday – Sunday: $665 (6 hours)
    Each additional hour $110 (maximum of 2)

    Rental fee includes park entry for all invited guests.

    Great Parks is a government agency and does not accept tips or gratuities of any kind.

    Amenities

    • Two second floor furnished living room suites with restroom
    • Electrical outlets in garden amphitheater and inside Highwood Lodge
    • Ceremonies are held “rain or shine.” In the event of inclement weather, Highwood Lodge is available to use at no additional charge.
    • First-floor accessible restroom; the second floor is accessible by staircase only.

    Food & Beverages

    Guests provide their own food and beverages, including alcohol, or choose a caterer to provide all food and beverages.

  • Open House Tour

    To view the facility, an open house is held once a month on the second Saturday from 8–9:30 a.m.

    In the event of inclement weather, check https://www.greatparks.org/parks/alerts-and-closures for changes or cancellations to the open house schedule. You can view the outside of the facility any day from dawn until dusk. When visiting the site, please be courteous if an event is in progress.

    Wedding Receptions

    Sweetwine Banquet Center at the Vineyard Golf Course in Woodland Mound is located 10 minutes from Withrow Nature Preserve. Sweetwine Banquet Center can be reserved for four-hour increments starting at 7 p.m. Guests choose any licensed caterer they wish. All beverages/alcohol are required to be purchased through Great Parks of Hamilton County.
