History: This charming park of 23 acres is the smallest park in the Hamilton County Park District. This oasis of green was created when Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Werner donated the land to the Park District in 1971.

Features

  • Butterfly and wildflower gardens which are maintained by Volunteers-In-Parks (VIPs).
  • The All Persons Pin Oak Trail circles the park and passes along several habitats including a prairie, a forest and a pond. Pin Oak Trail is fully-accessible and includes braille signage.
  • Ellenwood Nature Barn, built in the 1830's, is the site of many nature programs.
