Hickory Robot
Bluegrass/Americana/Acoustic www.myspace.com\hickoryrobot

Hickory Robot began as an idea for a side project between veteran Cincinnati musicians Jim Pelz and Scott Carnder several years back. It became a reality (and their primary focus) in the Summer of 2008 when the last few pieces of the puzzle fell into place with the addition of Lauren Schloemer and Matt Holt. In a short period of time this lineup has jelled into a remarkably entertaining band with an equally remarkable collection of fantastic original songs that meld bluegrass, folk, rock, and country into what can only be called great Americana music. Pelz and Carnder are as unique and skillful in their picking as in their songwriting, and Schloemer's rich, emotive violin and warm, captivating vocals are simply some of the best around. This is an exciting quartet that quickly captures an audience's attention and wins new fans with every performance. |

The Infinity Ball came together in 2005 and quickly jelled to create a unique, dynamic sound that fuses infectious groove based rock with jazz and Latin tonalities. These are tied together with memorable harmonies and lyrics, steeped in dry humor. Fuse the sounds of Barenaked Ladies, Led Zeppelin, and Steeley Dan and you have an idea of the sound of The Infinity Ball. |
