Leadership Team


The Hamilton County Park District was created in 1930 with a dual mission to protect local natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education for area residents. The Hamilton County Park District is a separate political subdivision of the State of Ohio and Hamilton County, governed by the Board of Park Commissioners, composed of five individuals who serve three-year terms without compensation. They establish policy and approve budgets and expenditures for all Park District services, facilites, equipment and development projects. Board members are appointed by the Judge of Probate Court, the Honorable James Cissell.

Administration
Jack Sutton, Executive Director
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrator and executive officer overseeing all operations of the Hamilton County Park District, reporting directly to the Board of Park Commissioners.

Rebecca McDonough, Deputy Director of Business Services/Chief Financial Officer
The Deputy Director of Business Services oversees all departments and divisions within the Business Services Section including Human Resources, Volunteer Services, Planning, Stewardship, Construction, Facility Management, Information Technology, Risk Management and Finance.

Jeff Clark, Deputy Director of Visitor Services
The Deputy Director of Visitor Services oversees all departments and divisions within the Visitor Services Section including Guest Services, Marketing & Communication Services ,Outdoor Education, Park Services and Recreation Services.

Cheryl Korn, Human Resources Director
The Human Resources Director oversees all employee services including payroll, hiring, benefits and training; as well as all volunteer services.

Outdoor Education
Amy Roell, Outdoor Education Director
The Outdoor Education Director oversees the outdoor education department, visitor center operations, Winton Woods Riding Center,  Parky’s Farm and Adventure Outpost.

Doug Burger, Park  Services Director
The Park Services Director supervises park, building and park road maintenance, landscaping and golf course operations.

Planning
Ross Hamre, Planning  Director
The Planning Director oversees land acquisition, protection of greenspace and wildlife and new park construction projects.

Recreation
Bill Mowery, Recreation Services Director
The Recreation Services Director manages the boathouses, campgrounds, snack bars, banquet centers, wet playgrounds, athletics, special events, Nature's Niche Gifts & Books stores.

Safety
Thomas E. Doyle, Ranger Chief
The Ranger Chief is in charge of the Rangers and enforces federal and state laws as well as Park District bylaws and regulations.

Privacy Policy Hamilton County Park District 
         
A valid Hamilton County Park District Motor Vehicle Permit ($10.00 annual; $3.00 daily) is required to enter the parks.
