Great Parks and HighGrain Brewing share a vision as community gathering spaces and environmental stewards working to create a sustainable future for Hamilton County and the greater Cincinnati region. Spanning 21 feet wide and nine feet tall, the Great Parks Mural at HighGrain Brentwood showcases the vibrant, plant and animal life found throughout Great Parks 22 destinations.

Designed by local artist LD Nehls to highlight the plants, animals and Great Parks across Hamilton County, the Great Parks mural celebrates our shared commitment to PROTECT natural spaces through a culture of sustainability and conservation. About The Artist

LD Nehls is a muralist and illustrator living in Cincinnati, OH.  Her work is typically playful and whimsical, and combines intricately detailed imagery from the natural world with open abstract spaces and “macro-landscapes” which invite the viewer to explore the world inside each piece. Her murals are designed to spark curiosity about their subject matter, and to celebrate public spaces and the natural world.

Her most recent work is a series of murals in Ohio, Kentucky and New Mexico inspired by the flora and fauna that can be found near the sites of each mural. At the core of her work is the simple truth that when something brings you joy, you want to share it and the hope that people want to protect what they come to love.
