In order to better serve our camping guests, Winton Woods Campground is undergoing construction to improve our shower house, as well as adding more campsites. The severe weather we experienced this winter delayed the anticipated completion date of this project. We now anticipate completed construction by early May 2025.

We have a limited number of campsites available to reserve at this time; your camper will need to be self-contained. Please continue to check our website for updates.

Winton Woods Campground is set in a pine grove alongside Winton Woods Lake and is within easy walking distance of Winton Woods Harbor, and the boathouse, snack bar and wet playground. The campground is located approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati and 30 minutes south of Kings Island amusement park.

Winton Woods Campground is a place where guest can refresh, reconnect, and escape the grid. Plan your stay before you reserve a camping site. We welcome visits to the campground Sunday afternoon through Thursday. Stop into the Campground Office for additional information. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay a memorable one.

  • Winter Camping

    Please pardon our dust! We are remodeling our shower house at Winton Woods Campground. While construction is underway, you may hear construction noise and vehicles, and see movement in and around the showerhouse.

    If you are camping during the our winter months of December 2, 2024 to March 6, 2025, campsites will offer 30/50 electric, water, and sewer hookup.

    Winton Woods Campground offers winter camping from December 1, 2024 through March 6, 2025 on select sites that offer 30/50 electric, water, and sewer hook-up, for $38/night. The campground office, showerhouse, dump station, cabins, and remaining campsites close December 2, 2024. Our showerhouse will be under construction beginning early December. We are also adding additional full hook-up sites in the campground that will be developed this winter.

    Reservations for winter camping must be made online in advance at greatparks.org or by calling the campground office at 513-851-2267. No same-day, walk-in, or first-come/first-served reservations will be accepted. The campground office is closed during winter camping but phones will be operated Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

    Check-in: Please do not arrive earlier than 2 p.m.

    Check-out: Campers must vacate their site by noon on the date shown on your site tag.

    *Please adhere to these times as your site may be reserved by another camper.

    The campground plans to reopen with full service amenities on or around mid-April 2025. Please check the website for updates.

  • Halloween Creepy Campouts

    Creepy Campouts at Winton Woods Campground are a time-honored Halloween tradition of more than 30 years. These not-so-spooky weekends offer fantastic opportunities to create lasting memories. Each weekend includes a variety of fun fall activities, including trick-or-treating, contests for Best Jack-O-Lanterns and Best Decorated Campsites and much more!

    Online registration for all five 2025 Creepy Campouts will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024.

    Weekend #3: Friday-Sunday, Oct. 10-12

    PLEASE NOTE: When making your reservation, select Friday as your arrival date and Saturday as your departure date. Creepy Campout reservations automatically include both Friday and Saturday nights, with check-out on Sunday morning.
