  • About the Course

Our regulation course, at 2,950 yards, plays to a par of 35. The walker friendly course is generally flat with tree-lined fairways. The signature hole is #2, a par 5 that plays 592 yards from the back tees. With the prevailing winds and a gentle dog leg, even the longest of hitters will need three shots at least to reach the green. The par 3 course is 1,060-yards long, and features bent grass fairways and tees, sand bunkers and mounds, and large greens, making it an ideal course for kids, beginning golfers and senior golfers.

Our covered and heated driving range offers the opportunity for year-round practice, while the grass tee and short game areas help the accomplished golfers sharpen their skills.

  • Zoysia Fairway Turf Conversion

Select areas of fairway turf on holes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 have been converted to Zoysia turf  with plans to complete the project by converting hole 8 this year. Zoysia is a warm-season grass which spreads by runners, creates a wear-resistant and dense mat of turf which allows the ball to sit higher, providing a better lie. The areas being converted will be obvious as you play your round. Zoysia turf is already being used successfully at several local golf courses.

It is our expectation that this turf conversion will demonstrate the ability of Zoysia turf to improve both playability and sustainability, while also reducing maintenance costs.

    • Zoysia turf has proven to be extremely heat and drought resistant, allowing for consistent playing conditions even through summer stress periods. The Regulation 9 fairways are not irrigated at Little Miami Golf Center, and Zoysia will thrive better under this condition than current grass varieties.
    • Zoysia turf requires almost no fertilization, and will significantly cost less to maintain each season. Other associated environmental concerns with fertilizer run-off into surface waters will also be greatly reduced.
    • Zoysia turf is significantly less susceptible to pests and pathogens than most other turfgrass varieties. Once Zoysia fairways are established, there will be decreased loss of playability due to turfgrass pest damage.
