Matt Starr - Matt has been the Head Golf Professional at Meadow Links since 2005. He has worked here since he was 16 years old and was the assistant professional for four years prior to becoming the head pro. As a PGA professional, Matt tries to make sure his students build a solid framework of the fundamentals while practicing and playing. Realizing that each student is different and unique, he tries to help each student meet and achieve their individual goals. Matt has worked with a variety of players ranging in skill and knowledge of the game, but truly enjoys his work with junior golfers.
Mike Deiters - With over 18 years experience as a PGA Professional, Mike has found his true passion in teaching. Whether you are a novice or desiring to play professionally, it is his goal to equip his students with "tools," which will enable them to achieve their golf goals. Meadow Links & Golf Academy provides the ideal environment to sharpen every aspect of a player’s game. Whether it be full swing, short game, course management, bunker play, or simply need to be professionally fitted, Mike is more than happy to help all of his students achieve their goals. Mike is also a certified Network Stack & Tilt Instructor as well as a Golf Channel Swing Fix Instructor.
Gary Bushorn - Gary believes that golf should be fun. The problem many students face is that it isn’t always clear how to do that. His approach to teaching golf is clear and concise instruction. Gary helps his students address fundamentals in the simplest way and shows them how to adapt the knowledge gained to improve their skills. The game is a simple one, but playing it well isn’t always so. Gary shows players how to keep it simple and keep it fun.
Roy Carmichael - Roy Carmichael played professional hockey before gravitating to golf, a natural progression. Both sports are a “ball-puck-stick” sport, swinging on a similar plane with a natural athletic motion to a defined target position. Roy’s philosophy is based on simple fundamentals and a natural awareness, rather than some position to position, geometric design. His influences have been enhanced by Ernst Jones, Fred Shoemaker, and Bill Melhorne. Before coming to Meadow Links, Roy taught students at Brown’s Run Country Club, Sycamore Creek Country Club, and Wildwood Country Club He also created the city of Dayton’s first Junior Golf Program.
Jeff Steinberg - Jeff's philosophy is to lead and encourage each student in the pursuit of their best game. His approach is to instruct and coach each student, starting with their weakest fundamentals. Jeff became a professional in March of 1970; he has been a PGA member since 1973. Jeff played the PGA tour from 1973-1975. He then served Berkleigh Country Club, Metropolis Country Club and NCR Country Club as head professional. Jeff's teaching influences include Ernest Jones, Ernie Vossler, Jim Flick, Harvey Penick, Joe Nichols, John Gerring, Gary Hardin and Ed Oldfield
