Nature Education
The Hamilton County Park District Naturalist Department offers many nature-related programs that cover a broad spectrum of topics, from local wildlife to historical perspectives of Southwest Ohio’s pioneer settlers.

To find out more information please refer to Go Guide, the Park District’s quarterly news magazine and park guide available at all Visitor Centers. Teachers, scout leaders and other groups may schedule private programs by calling the naturalist office of the park they would like to visit or the park closest to them. University of the Great Outdoors
The University of the Great Outdoors (UGO), stationed at Adventure Outpost in Winton Woods,  encourages outdoor recreation, good health and nature appreciation in the great outdoors. Throughout the year, UGO programs are offered at various parks with an emphasis on adventure, wilderness skills and exercise. Each season offers opportunities to get outside and challenge yourself with fun, educational programs.  

Glenwood Gardens
Teachers, call us for information regarding field trips for your pre-school through second grade classes. We offer many programs and workshops for adults as well, with topics ranging from gardening to all aspects of natural history. Consider scheduling a garden tour for your adult group, we can offer walking tours of the beautiful grounds of Glenwood Gardens or a specialized tour of the Highfield Discovery Garden. Community Out Reach Naturalist
The Community Out Reach Naturalist brings fun and exciting nature programs directly into classrooms, senior centers and social service agencies within the City of Cincinnati. Call (513) 385-4811 for more information.

Star Reach
Students step inside an indoor, inflatable planetarium. A projector casts images of the stars and constellations onto the inside of the planetarium, surrounding the students with a panoramic view of the night sky. The program can be presented at Winton Woods or taken on the road. Call (513) 521-7275 ext. 241 for more information.

InReach
InReach invites elementary students from Hamilton County to spend a day at Parky's Farm.  Curriculum is designed to match specific grade level standards.  Topics include our Farm to Me program for 1st graders, connecting students to the farm through food and clothing, the 1803 Farm Sampler for 2nd graders, in which students step into life in 1803 Ohio, and our Mysterious Famboozle for 3rd graders in which students discover animal adaptations, classifications and dig into our soil.

InReach Programs are offered for a nominal charge and in addition, transportation assistance may be available.  InReach programs are also available for seniors, youth and community groups as well as social service agencies.

Walk Club
The Walk Club is a great way to get and stay motivated to exercise in a safe and friendly environment.  Our free, flexible exercise program is designed for adults age 50 and over. Participants choose how many days a week they wish to walk and how often!

A valid Hamilton County Park District Motor Vehicle Permit ($10.00 annual; $3.00 daily) is required to enter the parks.
