About the Project
The 1.6-mile Columbia Connector trail will tie the Little Miami Scenic Trail to other segments of the 34-mile CROWN regional trail loop, including the Mariemont Connector, Murray Path and Wasson Way. Phases 1 and 2 were completed in 2020, and construction of the final Phase 3 is expected to begin in spring 2026.
The purpose of the proposed shared-use path is to address pedestrian and bicycle connectivity issues along US 50/Wooster Pike. Completely separated from vehicular traffic, this off-road trail will:
- Improve connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians traveling along US 50/Wooster Pike who want to visit businesses located along the south side of the road.
- Improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity between residential communities in Mariemont and Columbia Township to the local and regional trail system.

Partners & Funding
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is leading the design of the project with funds from the Eastern Corridor Project. Great Parks has secured more than $3 million in construction funding, including nearly $2.8 million in federal funding and a $300,000 contribution from the Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network (CROWN) capital campaign. Great Parks will work with ODOT, Columbia Township and Mariemont to identify additional public and private funding sources.
